Delicious Egg tarts!! And also the coconut tart worth trying. Definitely get a dessert here if you’re in the area!

Still THE best place for flaky egg tart shells! I have been enjoying the egg tarts from ECK for years now. I love the silky custard, the crumbly shell, and the sweetness of the egg tart as a whole. Warm up the egg tarts in a toaster, and voila! Yummy yummy yummy!!
The bakery has other delicious pastries too! The fried sesame red bean ball was so tasty. Filling to skin ratio was perfect. The Japanese cheesecake was light and fluffy. It was so good.
Try all their pastries! Try them all!
Egg tarts came out hot and fresh. Had a very flakey crust paired with a soft and silky custard. Not much else in the bakery. I didn’t see the egg tarts displayed, so I asked for it and they brought it out from the back.
Mango mochi is simply divine... so fresh, soft and full of real mango flavor! Seriously best mochi I have ever had and I've had a lot because I love mochi! I wish this bakery were closer to me on the East Coast. Egg custard is delicious as well with a great flaky crust.
I know they are known for the wondrous egg tarts and I agree they were amazing but their Zongzi were just another level. They are glutinous rice stuffed with meat like pork and sausage and wrapped in bamboo leaves! I was so impressed with the consistency and flavor, I’ll highly recommend it around dragon boat festival. They are cash only so make sure you check that before you go in. Tip - they accepted Venmo which was great!
eck bakery has the best egg tarts in houston! their egg tarts are super flakey and buttery and the custard is creamy and perfectly sweet. make sure to eat it while they're fresh and warm! they also sell other baked goods like pineapple buns, mango mochi, curry and bbq pork puffs and more.
i recommend going early since they do sell out sometimes! also don't forget to bring cash just in case! i paid with cash but i think they also accept venmo.

There’s only a few places that make sticky rice dumpling, this place make it the way my grandmother would make. The crust for the egg tart is nice and flaky. The crust on the pineapple bun is very flaky. NYC Chinatown was the last place that I had a pineapple bun with s very flaky crust. The pineapple bun have no filling. One of my friend was surprised that there’s no filling. He was expecting a custard filling. The buns with the custard filling were all sold out early in the day.
I’ve had a great share of egg custards tart…and hands down ECK tops my list. The consistency of the flavor, texture, and taste is always on point. It’s something about their flaky crust that balances so well with their creamy filling. Must hit spot every visit to Houston
